Based in Addlestone, Surrey, Laudamus Chamber Choir is one of county's most highly regarded chamber choirs. Since its founding in 1993, the choir has performed regularly throughout Surrey, as well as further afield both throughout the United Kingdom and abroad. Laudamus performs a wide-ranging repertoire, from classical greats—such as Mozart's Requiem and Bach's St John Passion—to lighter music—including collections from West End shows—and everything in between. As well as performing the choral canon, the choir has premiered a number of pieces, including The Dove by Reading-based composer David Breeze and Ruth by Christine Vine. As well as performing its own concerts, Laudamus have previously collaborated with both instrumental ensembles such as the Ashford Baroque Ensemble, and other choirs, including the Mosaic Chamber Choir and Walton and Oatlands Choral Society (now known as Walton Voices). The choir often fundraises for charity and has performed for a number of notable people, including Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
